Occupational Health and Safety of Construction/Demolition Workers

During the demolition of the controversial Nasla Tower in Karachi, video footage appeared on social media showing demolition workers involved in dangerous work at great heights. They were seen without any safety equipment such as helmets or harnesses. PILAP wrote an RTI to the Labour and Human Resources Department of the Government of Sindh asking about the implementation of the Sindh Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2017, safety measures regulated during demolition work during the demolition of Nasla Tower specifically and in Sindh generally.
