Deadly Amoeba in water

What’s at Stake

Last year several deaths were reported in Karachi from a deadly ‘’brain eating” amoeba present in water. This contamination can be caused by a lack of proper water cleaning treatments.

Current Status

PILAP wrote RTIs to Cantonment Board Clifton, DHA-Karachi and the Karachi Water and Sewage Board, asking about water cleaning procedures and practices.
