Medium wages of CDA janitors and sanitary workers

What’s at Stake

In 2021, the Federal Government fixed the minimum wage at Rs. 20,000. Unfortunately, most janitors and sanitary workers are not paid even this amount.

Current Status

PILAP wrote an RTI to the CDA asking about the wages paid to janitors and sanitary workers within its jurisdiction. It responded and informed that they are all being paid a monthly wage of Rs. 20,000.
